Gilpin Lake House & Hotel in the Lake District is one of the most beautiful venues to tie the knot that I’ve ever seen! These guys pretty much eloped and had their own private ceremony, then we had a cream tea of course, then we set out in the rowing boat across the lake. It’s great when we have time to create beautiful wedding photographs and relax, wonder around and sip champagne. Many of my couples think of this as time alone spent with each other on the day that they wouldn’t have had if I hadn’t prized them away from the crowd. So its best to plan a little time into the day for these moments so we’re not winging it. 30 minutes is just enough most of the time but Eleanor & Leon opted for a full hour of lake and forest exploration so we could enjoy everything the beautiful venue had to offer.
