MANCHESTER WEDDINGS

June 7, 2017

I’ve lived in Manchester now for almost ten years and a full time wedding photographer in the area for 6 years so it’s fair to say I’ve photographed weddings in almost every venue in the city old and new, which provides me with a unique perspective when it comes to taking photos on your wedding day. I know the very best places in Manchester to create awesome pictures! Often just round each street corner is a hidden gem that you may not realise is the backdrop for an amazing wedding image.

Around 40% of my weddings are shot in Manchester and the surrounding areas and of course I love keeping it local so I’d love to hear from you if you’re planning a wedding in Manchester soon. You can often find me at the inner city Manchester Wedding venues like Manchester Town Hall, Hope Mill, On the 7th, Didsbury House Hotel, The Deaf Institute, Manchester Art Gallery, Manchester Museum and Gorton Monastery to name a few. My creative photography style really suits the urban surroundings of these inner city venues as I love using strong lines and architecture in my images. Bride’s… make sure you’re ready to carry that dress around the streets of Manchester and it’s alleyways! It’s great fun of course!

As a Manchester based photographer I also shoot in the surrounding areas of Cheshire and Lancashire where the wedding venues are often beautiful barns or manor houses. You can often find me at Eaves Hall, Styal Lodge, Colshaw Hall to name just a few. I love bringing a little contemporary style and creativity to the more traditional wedding venues around Manchester while keeping the overall feel very elegant. Inevitably, all of my couple’s wedding days result in some hilarious moments on the dance floor with which I have no problem capturing very honestly! I find the most elegant weddings usually result in the most fun!

Contrary to popular belief it doesn’t always rain in Manchester! I work a small handful of rainy days each year and location or season doesn’t seem to play a large part! The rain can offer up some interesting photo opportunities too and being creative allows me to make the most of it come rain or shine.
