I’m under no illusions that firstly choosing and then investing both trust and money in your wedding photographer is a big deal. There’s a lot of us out there and you might have already been bombarded with Google search results, recommendations from friends and ads on wedding blogs, with no idea how to choose ‘the one’. You might have seen at a friends’ wedding first hand, the perils of choosing the wrong photographer.
In other words, you remember that couple who went missing half the day for their photos, and the group shots were a messy, unpleasant, lengthy memory. Well sometimes photographers are inexperienced even though their website looks good. Sometimes they are shooting for themselves and not for the couple. And sometimes they say they’re a ‘documentary wedding photographer’ because that sells, but they’re not.
A photographer who is present during the planning stage and who can offer advice where needed on the timings of the day to make sure everything fits perfectly and effortlessly
Arriving early and leaving late: someone who will go the extra mile
A photographer who creatively, romantically or hilariously sees the beauty in every part of the day
A well organised, short selection of natural family pictures that take 15-20 mins max- I usually recommend around 6 shots and I can help you define these nearer the day
A photographer who blends in with their guests, doesn't stand out like a sore thumb and is able to enjoy the day
The flexibility to shoot naturally but then get a few stupid shots of you and your friends when you ask
If this all sounds like we’re hitting the nail on the head then read on...
what's it like to
work with nicola?
Lizzie & Ian
"Nicola not only did my wedding photography, but also my two sisters' weddings over the last few years! I couldn't have picked anyone else. She is a fantastic photographer, at the same time as being friendly and a calming influence on your big day! We are so pleased with the photographs and will treasure them."
Katie & Matthew
"We can't thank Nicola enough for the absolutely stunning photographs of our wedding, they truly captured the love and joy we felt on that day. Nicola is a complete pro and ridiculously organised, our pre-wedding chats helped me to feel so much calmer in the build-up. She slotted in seamlessly on the day and felt more like a guest than the photographer. If you want wedding photos that truly capture the spirit of your day, Nicola is the one for you!"
