Stoneleigh Abbey Wedding Photographer – Nicola Thompson Photography
Stoneleigh Abbey was founded in 1154 and has played house to several people of note, including King Charles I, Queen Victoria, and novelist Jane Austen. Anne and Hugh had the great pleasure of hosting their wedding celebrations here in the most elegant room, where guests sang along to ‘It Must Be Love’ by Madness, accompanied by ukulele! Their informal wedding reception was in the beautiful walled garden. The weather couldn’t have been better suited to the open sided marquee which housed fabulous table decor and plenty of summer blooms. The food was cooked in front of guests on an open fire which added something a little unique to the wedding breakfast menu. Anne and Hugh wanted simple documentary photography with minimal groups and posed shots. It is great to be able to provide such an honest and natural set of memories for them to forever be reminded of the day. Here’s a little sample of images from the full set.
“We had the most wonderful wedding day and we feel so lucky that we’re able to remember this with pictures which truly capture the highlights, the fun, the mood and the love. Nicola was lovely to work with, both in the lead up to the wedding where she accommodated our many postponements, guided us through the day in pictures, and of course on the day where she somehow managed to be both one of the crowd but also the assigned photographer who rallied families and friend groups when needed. We would absolutely recommend her for your special day.” Anne & Hugh
