The Art Pavilion > Wedding Photography by Nicola Thompson. Fiona & Olivier were married on 17th June in the city of London on the hottest day of the decade. After getting ready with the girls at their wonderful home (beautiful new kitchen too!), Fiona and her family left for Church. Once wed, some guests took a London bus and we walked to the tube in real London style, making our way to The Art Pavilion which is such a unique wedding venue right in the heart of the city. It was so much fun with 30 or so guests on the tube and we got some great photos! The Art Pavilion is a stunning, glass fronted gallery space within Mile End Park that Fiona & Olivier hired to create their own magical wedding reception. Everything was made, decorated and placed by them personally which was such an amazing achievement. I always note that DIY weddings bring so much joy and accomplishment to the whole family and everyone involved.
It really was so hot! I’m sure the temperatures reached 30 degrees that weekend and we sure did notice! We took some fun pictures around the canal and on the roof of the venue and then settled for dinner which was delicious. The dancing started very soon after and the dance floor was full from then until the end of the night! I stayed very late which is so unlike me 😉 The final few pictures are at 12 midnight when we were all very sweaty and drunk. Some of the best!
