A Beautiful DIY Woodland Wedding in Cheshire

If you’re looking for inspiration for an intimate, woodland wedding, then you’ve come to the right place! Last weekend I had the pleasure of shooting this stunning DIY woodland wedding in the heart of Cheshire. The day was full of love, laughter and lots of helping hands from family and friends. I want to share the photos from this magical day with you because everything was so blooming beautiful!

Ricky & Flora chose Flora’s family woodland for their ceremony, (of course they would!) followed by an outdoor reception at Flora’s nearby family home. This charming spot was perfect for their cosy, sunlit gathering of family and friends. All of the decorations had a beautiful rustic feel – from flower arrangements to fabric backdrops – creating a truly special atmosphere. Guests were free to wander around the gardens, playing lawn games or enjoying a few drinks under the trees. Flora’s mum did an amazing job at the garden details and lighting.

From traditional posed portraits and candid shots of family members to beautiful close-ups of all the handmade details, they had it all covered! There were even some unique aerial shots taken with drones that showed off the stunning surroundings and colorful decor. Even though there weren’t too many people there, this wedding certainly felt grand!

The Couple
At the center of it all were our amazing couple! They looked so happy together throughout their entire ceremony and reception. Their families were also clearly very proud of them both as they watched them celebrate their special day together. It was such an incredible honor to witness two people join together in marriage surrounded by so much love from those closest to them.
